Written By His Wife:

Based in Houston, Evan served as the international photojournalist for a non-profit organization for capturing photographs in over 40 countries, mainly in South East Asia. Evan strives to capture God’s beauty in creation, be it people, landscape or wildlife.

Between journalism trips Evan does commercial photography to support his photojournalism.

Evan Is passionate about photography and, while he enjoys portrait and interior design photography, works commercially to help support freelance non-profit photojournalism.

If it was up to Evan, his “About Me” section will end here. Luckily he has a wife. (Who’s quite good looking if I dare say.)

The verse that drives Evan is Hebrews 4:16. He finds it encouraging that anyone can come to the Father for help, and that the Father can and will send His body of followers to help. Evan has a special heart for those in unreached areas who may not have the financial means or multimedia skills to tell their stories for help. He seeks to use his photography skills to help others have an emotional connection with the work that is happening in crisis, disaster, and unreached areas.

Evan’s favorite type of photos are when he can capture people in their natural element. His least favorite pictures are those his wife forces him to take of their cat. It’s okay, because we all know that iPhones takes better pictures anyways, especially with all the filters.

The photograph he is most proud of was of a mother and daughter in Ukraine which rose enough money to fund 80 evacuation bus trips in a single night. His best failed attempt at a photo was when his drone went rogue and headed straight to a child’s face so he dug his hands into the blades to stop it. No fingers were lost but he should have karate chopped it.

“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:16‬ ‭NIV
